$12.00

The ADISQUE coffee producers association consists of 164 families of mainly the Mayan ethnicity in the Chorti region near the Sierra de las Minas and Sierra de Chama mountains. The region has a very special micro climate that is influenced by the Caribbean Sea and the two mountains. 49 women are involved in the cultivation of this coffee. This coffee is grown at the 1,400 meters of altitude by members of the International Women in Coffee Association (IWCA). The women harvest only ripe cherries to process with clean mountain water. ADISQUE is an organization that provides assistance to small farmers in the production of high-altitude, organic coffees, with a special focus on practices that do not contribute to climate change, and on improving living conditions of local farmers.
